Where do I register for the tournaments?
To participate in our tournaments, simply register on Toornament. To do so, just use the email address provided on your LAN ticket.
Important: If you have multiple tickets, please ensure that each ticket is linked to the correct person's email address! To make a change, please contact congressregistration@leipziger-messe.de .
How does communication work during the tournaments?
During the tournaments, we only communicate via our Discord server . There, you can coordinate with our tournament organizers and find other teams.
The “LAN26.user” role is also important here. You can easily obtain this on our Discord server by entering /lanrolle and sending us the 24-digit code from your LAN ticket. We will check it and you will receive your role in no time!
Guest server and technical specifications
How high are the download and upload rates in the LAN area? And how does it work in terms of IP addresses?
We provide 60 gigabits of internet for the LAN area at the CAGGTUS to ensure super-fast and, above all, maximum parallel download and upload speeds. These are divided into 20 gigabits from Vodafone and 40 gigabits from envia.Tel. The Leipziger Messe is its own Internet provider (RIPE member) and can therefore distribute the Internet traffic fully redundantly and fail-safe via the lines.
Each end device receives a public IPv4 address from us - this ensures that you do not end up on any blacklists because too many players access the network via one IP. IPv6 is not currently in operation but is planned for later events.
In principle, there is no throttling of bandwidth with us - the 100 MBit on your connection is available to you without restriction.
What is the configuration of the network in the LAN area?
Our Internet connections are linked to 2 redundant Juniper MX-204s. These two devices have 4x 100 Gigabit connections, so that there are no limits to the growth of the Internet connection. They are currently connected to our data center network with 40 gigabits each.
Our network consists of components from the manufacturer Extreme.
The two geo-redundant data centers are equipped with 7400-32C and 7720-32C switches (2 each), which provide 32 ports with 100 gigabits each.
Our halls (and therefore also the LAN hall) are equipped with 2 7400-48Y-8C and 7520-48YE-8CE switches (main distributors). These are also fully redundant and are connected to the two data centers with 2x 100 Gigabit each - this means that the hall for the LAN is connected to our two data centers with 400 Gigabit!
The data distributors under the LAN are connected to the main distributor in the hall. We use 5420M-48W-4YE switches there. They are currently connected to the main distributor with 2x 10 Gigabit redundancy. An upgrade to 2x or 4x 25 Gigabit is possible during implementation if required.
Your desk blocks are each supplied with a 48-port switch (ERS-4950GTS, ERS-4850GTS or ERS3549GTS). Each of the switches is connected with 2x 1 Gigabit to one of the data distributors under the hall. To be on the safe side, we always have a third cable on the table to compensate for shortages or failures.
Is WLAN available in the LAN area?
Our WLAN is available everywhere. There are 36 access points suspended from the ceiling in each hall, allowing you to use the WLAN easily. You can activate 10 MBit access with your voucher. The Wi-Fi is designed to supply all LAN participants simultaneously - however, due to the latency and unpredictability of the medium, it is not suitable for fast and latency-critical games.
Is it possible to connect a guest server?
A separate switch (Extreme 5420-48W-4YE) is available in the guest server area for connecting your servers. The servers are connected with 1 Gigabit copper. The switch is connected with 2x 25 Gigabit to the main distributor of the LAN area, so that fast Internet access as well as accessibility from the LAN is guaranteed.
If you want to bring your guest server with you, you have to send an e-mail to info@caggtus.de by 27.02.2026. You will then receive a detailed explanation of the conditions the server must fulfill, what the on-site process will look like and what other information we need from you.
Nevertheless, the following information is important for a brief overview: On site you will have to report to the Support Center on site and together with our IT team, you will then be given the opportunity to set up your server in the designated room and connect it to the network.
You will get all further information from us.
Arrival, parking & check-in
What do I need for the LAN?
I am packing my suitcase and take with me... But do you have everything with you? In the LAN checklist (PDF, 137 kB) you will find a list of all the things you might need.
What does the venue look like?
For better orientation, you can check out our arrival page . You can also find the CAGGTUS 2026 site map here:
Where can I park?
Legend LAN Seats park directly at Hall 1 and can access the venue via the South 1 entrance.
Expert LAN Seats and Beginner LAN Seats with a parking permit (indicated by a "P" on the ticket) park either on Messe-Allee or in the first few rows of parking lot P1. All ticket holders will receive a parking permit for Messe-Allee or must send their license plate number to info@caggtus.de by April 6, 2026, to park for free at P1.
Beginner LAN Seats without a parking permit can park in parking lot P1, but must pay for their parking session using the automatic license plate recognition system. Payment is made by card at the machine or online at city-parking.de
To avoid having to carry your entire setup from the parking lot to the LAN area (Hall 1), you can use the short-term parking area in front of the hall for loading and unloading from 5:00 PM onwards. Please note: The number of spaces available is limited. The maximum stay is 90 minutes; after that, we will unfortunately have to have your vehicle towed at your expense!
All parking spaces are open from 1.00 p.m.
How does arrival work?
From 1:00 PM onwards, you can enter the grounds via Gates South 1 and South 2. Check-in will take place in front of the hall from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM to allow more time inside. Any gaming chairs you bring with you must be registered here.
Access to the hall will be from 6:00 PM onwards via Gate 1.6 on the south side of the hall. Restrooms are located just around the corner on the west side of the hall at Gate 1.7.
Important: Please have your ticket and ID ready for the initial check-in. You can access the LAN at any time after that, and then bring in your setup whenever you like.
What do I need to know about bringing my own gaming chairs?
Since we, along with our partners Backforce and gamingchairs.eu, rent out chairs ourselves, any gaming chairs you bring must be marked.
At check-in, a barcode will be affixed to your chair, and you will receive the corresponding cloakroom ticket. If you arrive on Friday, you will be escorted from Gate 1.6 to the Support Center, where your chair will be registered.
When you leave the hall on Sunday, you must present your chair with the barcode and your cloakroom ticket. Only when both numbers match can you return the cloakroom ticket and leave the hall with your chair.
Activities
Gaming for 70 hours straight? We can do that! But of course, we also have a few other highlights and features in store at the LAN.
Red Bull Lounge
As usual, Red Bull has a place in the heart of the LAN with an interactive gaming lounge. Here you can play a few rounds of foosball with your friends or relax with a cold drink.
Fan Zone
Our FanZone will be part of the LAN again this year. A small area in the middle of the hall where you can play your own offline games or watch other livestreams directly from the LAN.
Friday Night Party
It's party time again on CAGGTUS Friday! The Friday Night Party takes place in front of the event stage from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and you're cordially invited. You'll get in with your LAN wristband.
Food and Drinks
Can you already hear your stomach growling through your headset? You can grab something from breakfast to dinner at the hall bistro.
If you'd like to cook for yourself, feel free to stop by the kitchenette next to our Support Center. There you'll find microwaves, ovens, kettles, and a small sink.
Other information
Since the LAN area will be your home for 70 hours, we've also made sure you have access to showers on-site. Shower cubicles and a small shelf are included!
If you're bringing medication or need medical assistance during the event, please contact the first aid team at Gate 1.9!
And if you have any questions about tournaments or anything else, just ask at the Support Center; they'll be happy to help! For minor technical issues, our Repair Service will assist you as best they can. You can also find it on our Discord server!
Check-Out & Departure
Congratulations! You've completed all the levels. Now it's time to say goodbye to all your old and new mates and head off.
What do I need to keep in mind when I leave?
Here are the most important points:
- The LAN area is open until 4:00 PM on Sunday. If you still haven't had enough of CAGGTUS, head over to the Entertainment Area. It offers entertainment until 6:00 PM.
- Allow plenty of time to pack up your setup.
- Go through your checklist to make sure you've packed everything up.
If you brought a gaming chair, you'll need to have it briefly checked when you leave the hall. Simply hand over the corresponding cloakroom ticket with the number you received at check-in. Then you can leave the hall.
