Cosplay Contest
Saturday evening is all about the great Cosplay Contest, in which numerous famous characters are brought to life by passionate cosplayers on the Event Stage. The winners will be selected on site by our experienced and expert jury and will receive high-quality prizes.

Basic idea
The CAGGTUS Cosplay Contest is a crafting contest – the focus here is on craftsmanship.
What you have made yourself or created independently will be evaluated: sewing, shaping, painting, constructing, 3D design, electronics – regardless of the material or technique used.
Performances, shows or appearances can round off the presentation, but are not decisive for the evaluation.

Assessment & Procedure
1. Jury & Evaluation
- The language of the jury is English, as at least one international jury member is present.
- The backstage team includes assistants with translation skills who help with communication between the jury and participants.
- Only the handmade craftwork will be evaluated according to five criteria:
- Workmanship – cleanliness, precision, stability, finish
- Complexity – techniques, personal contribution, degree of difficulty
- Painting / fabric selection / weathering – surface, material fidelity, style
- Make-up / wig / cosmetics – hairstyle, make-up, SFX if applicable
- Overall impression – consistency, proportions, closeness to the original
- Places 1–3 will be awarded.

2. Stage & Performance
- There is a digital counter on stage that displays the maximum stage time.
- Short performances or show interludes are permitted but will not be included in the evaluation.
- Water is available on site; chairs can be brought to the stage for heavy or restricted cosplays – please inform the organisers during the preliminary judging so that the helpers can take care of this.
3. Video & Social Media
- After the event, GZM and Leipziger Messe will provide edited video footage of the performances.
- Social media information (links, hashtags, credits) will be provided on site.
- GZM / Leipziger Messe retain the rights to use this material; participants retain the rights to use and link to their own performances.
4. Backstage, Prejudging & Waiting Times
- Catering will be available in the backstage area.
- The backstage area is primarily intended for cosplayers, not for additional accompanying persons.
- A maximum of one registered helper is permitted per participant.
- Admission will be controlled by the helper team.
- Prejudging will last 5 minutes per participant (timed).
- Participants will be informed of their slot in good time.
During the stage programme, waiting times of up to 45 minutes may occur.
Please plan accordingly (water, seating if necessary). If required, the helpers will assist with organisation and facilitation.

1st Place: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai ARTFXJ Statue 1/8 Dai Deluxe Edition 18 cm
Dai, the hero of DRAGON QUEST THE ADVENTURE OF DAI, is joining Kotobukiya's ARTFX J line!
Dai is depicted in a courageous and dynamic pose, gripping his sword as he faces a powerful enemy to take it down in a single powerful strike.
The figure's arms and waist are articulated and can be posed at different angles. The model's right fist is equipped with an LED that makes the emblem of the dragon glow brightly.

Levi from one of the world's best-selling manga series, Attack on Titan, comes to life in a 1/7 scale figure! Attack on Titan has sold over 100 million copies of its manga worldwide, and this rendition of Levi will be sure to please fans of both the manga and anime series.
Although wounded in combat, Levi can be seen pointing the blade of his Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear at his enemy in this scale figure rendition. Despite Levi's body being covered in wounds and uniform tattered throughout, his will to survive and fight to the end shows his strong "fortitude".
Shin Tanabe who sculpted Kotobukiya's original ARTFX J Levi has returned to craft this new rendition of Levi. Pay close attention This figure has been sculpted to perfection down to every small detail.

3rd Place: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ARTFXJ Statue 1/8 Tengen Uzui 23 cm
The user of Sound Breathing, Uzui Tengen, will be released by Kotobukiya as a 1/8 scale figure!
From the anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the Sound Hashira, Uzui Tengen, comes to life in a dynamic pose, slicing down his enemies.
The ends of his hair and clothes on his back flutter in the wind, with the wrinkles of his uniform reflecting his body's movements, creating a more impactful appearance.
The detailed design of his headband and Nichirin Blades have also been faithfully reproduced. Extra attention was paid to accurately sculpting his rippling muscles, which further showcases his strength and fortitude.
Line him up with the other characters to recreate the world of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime!
Judges Choice: My Little Pony Bishoujo PVC Statue 1/7 Princess Luna 23 cm
"All of you, call me Luna!"
Princess Luna will now be joining the MY LITTLE PONY BISHOUJO lineup! The statue is based on a stylized rendering by BISHOUJO illustrator Shunya Yamashita!
The gothic dress which comes complete with a detailed corset as well as the princess' facial expression and pose are all inspired by the motif of "night"!
The hair resembles a night sky full of twinkling stars and is perfectly brought to life with clear sparkles included throughout. This beautifully sparkly hair looks perfect when lined up next to the limited edition Mane Six ponies!

The Kotobukiya ARTFX J series charges forward! From the popular anime series "Attack on Titan", the main heroine of the series, Mikasa Ackerman, joins the ARTFX J lineup in an all-new renewal package variant.
The figure is sculpted in a dynamic pose that evokes the image of a battle in the forest! Mikasa can be seen turning around while holding her ultrahard blade high in the air, reminiscent of a scene where she quickly leaps around during a battle against a Titan. Her sharp eyes and dignified expression, typical of Mikasa, are a major highlight of this figure.
The figure of Mikasa is of course detailed, but the vertical maneuvering equipment has also been sculpted in such fine detail that each component of the maneuvering equipment does not lose any essence of its machine-like look. In addition, every element of the large tree that serves as the base of the figure has also been finely sculpted: from the patterns of the bark to slash marks left across the trunk itself.
This figure features a removable cape, so it is possible to display this figure in two different styles.

Moertel - Pixel Art
Behind ‘Moertel’ is Hamburg-based pixel artist Stefanie Fehling. Having grown up in the 80s and 90s, she has been blending the nostalgia of 8-bit video games with our lives in the here and now since 2017. In richly detailed neo-noir animations, which have also featured in music videos by Alt-J and Turin Brakes, the focus is on lonely streets, bridges and city lights. Look forward to Stefanie’s famous animated murals and plenty of nostalgia for places you’ve never been.
