Review 2026: Map and areas

In FYNG City you could found the biggest German-language gaming websites with a varied show programme on the topic of gaming culture – including Moviepilot, Tech like Vera and creator Maurice Weber.

Two hells were about to collide! The Legion of Hell was storming Sankturio, from Imps to the mighty Cyberdemon. An exclusive crossover event with DOOM: The Dark Ages kicked off in Diablo Immortal on 16 April. Blizzard Entertainment and Bethesda invited you to slice and dice demons right here at CAGGTUS Leipzig.

Indie games are what drive the video game world... And that's why one of our most popular sections was getting even more space – more space for exciting indie games, hidden gems from solo developers and small teams. Incidentally, this year Indie Ground was docked right next to FYNG City.

At our Cosy Game Lounge with its cosy living room décor you could take a break from all the festival hustle and bustle with a cosy game or two.

Gaming, chilling, levelling up together – the Freeplay Area was back in 2026 and was fully equipped with consoles this year! Whether it's Mario Kart, Smash Bros or other fun games, console gamers aged 12 and over could play here with friends and like-minded people without any pressure.

Our Freeplay Area was unlocking the next level! By popular demand from the community, you could now play titles rated 18+ in the 135 square metre area. Our partner XMG provided the appropriate equipment with powerful gaming PCs.

This year, CAGGTUS had a whole hall full of card and strategy fun in store for you.

At our PnP Corner you could slip into your role, roll the dice of fate and experience unforgettable adventures!

In the Dance Area, you could dance, party and power up with ‘Just Dance with Friends’! Ambitious dancers could take on the challenge with the first edition of the CAGGTUS Dance Cup Championship!

Airbrushing, make-up, 3D printing, working with foam and Worbla, SFX body props, painting and weathering – in our Crafting Corner you could further develop your cosplay skills.

At various gaming stations, we took you on a playful journey through all decades of video game history.

Right next to the Retro Area, you could play rhythm games on two arcade machines (WACCA, Jubeat) and three full setups (ITGMania, pop’n music, SOUND VOLTEX). The Rhythm Corner as organised by Pixel Friends e.V.
