About us
MixedMoonGames GmbH was founded in August 2025 by two lifelong friends from Germany who had already been prototyping the title "Monarchs at Play" together the year before.
Supported by the “Press Start: Gründerstipendium Games” program, the studio set out to create a strategy game inspired by their love for the district-building systems of Civilization VI. Early in development, they realized they wanted something different: a deep 4X experience that could actually be played with friends without requiring an entire weekend.
